We only collect what this website really needs. We do not sell or share your data for advertising, there are no advertising or analytics cookies and no Google Analytics.
Who is responsible

Recipe newsletter
- What we store: your e-mail address, language, the date you signed up and confirmed, the page where you signed up and the wording of your consent.
- Why: to send you new recipes, the recipe book and occasional seasonal tips.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), confirmed by clicking the link in the confirmation e-mail.
- How long: until you unsubscribe. Every e-mail has an unsubscribe link and works with the “Unsubscribe” button in Gmail and other mailboxes. When you unsubscribe, your address is deleted. Sign-ups that are not confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
- Who processes it for us: e-mails are delivered by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France – EU). The list of subscribers is stored on our server.
Comments
A comment shows the name you enter and your text publicly under the recipe. We do not ask for your e-mail. To protect against spam we store a one-way code (hash) derived from your IP address – not the IP address itself. Comments stay published until you ask us to remove them or we delete them. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in running the discussion.
You can add a photo of your bake to a comment. We redraw the photo on our server, which removes all data from the camera (including GPS location), and it appears under the recipe with your name only after we approve it. We delete a photo whenever you ask us to.
Recipe ratings
When you rate a recipe with stars, we store the number of stars and a one-way code (hash) derived from your IP address, so that one person cannot rate the same recipe many times. Only the average and the number of ratings are shown publicly. Your browser remembers your own rating in its local storage so it can show it to you again; this never leaves your device and you can delete it by clearing site data. Legal basis: legitimate interest in fair ratings.
Visit statistics
We count visits ourselves, without cookies and without third-party services. We store the page, time on the page, where the visit came from (e.g. Google, YouTube), device type, browser, and country and city estimated from the IP address. The IP address itself is not stored; visitors are told apart only by a code that changes every day, so you cannot be recognised on another day. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing which recipes people read.

Technically necessary cookies do not require consent, so there is no cookie banner on this site.
YouTube videos and pictures
The video is loaded only after you click “play”, in the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From that moment YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) processes data according to its own privacy policy. Recipe pictures are loaded from YouTube servers (i.ytimg.com), so YouTube sees your IP address. Fonts are stored on our own server.
Hosting
The website runs at Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.) on a server in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Like every web server, it keeps technical access and error logs for security purposes for a limited time.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict processing, to object, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing before withdrawal). Just write to info@liviera.sk. You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – in Slovakia the Office for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.sk).
